Davida Sharpe-Haygood M.Ed. is a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a strong commitment to social justice. Holding a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, Davida brings a systems mindset and strong influencing skills to guide partners in re-imagining their work through the lens of diversity and inclusion.
With a background in education administration and faculty roles, Davida is a tenured professor of education. She also serves as the Co-Chair of the Faculty of Color mentoring program, where she is deeply committed to enhancing the retention and well-being of faculty of color across the CTC system. Davida works collaboratively to ensure these faculty members are equipped with the tools needed to thrive in a system entrenched in white supremacy and anti-blackness, while also enriching the learning environment with their professional excellence.
In addition to her roles, Davida is the founding member and Co-Chair of the Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (WACTE) Social Justice Committee. In this capacity, she works diligently to center social justice in all aspects of teacher prep programs.
Davida is a recognized leader in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Access, collaborating with community partners such as the Puyallup School District, Sound Transit, Washington Bankers Association, and Washington State Patrol. Through her work, she enhances professional communities through cultural humility and empathy.
Passionate about creating lasting change through authentic collaboration, advocacy, and community engagement, Davida is dedicated to advancing a culture of transformational change. She excels in fostering data and people-informed actions to meet organizational objectives.
