My name is Nick Pernisco, and I am eager to serve as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. My dedication, expertise, and background uniquely qualify me to represent our vibrant state and the Democratic Party on a national stage.

As a lifelong Democrat, I’ve devoted countless hours to volunteering for diverse causes and supporting legislative districts. My efforts range from canvassing for candidates to orchestrating events for community organizations. Additionally, I’ve contributed my leadership as a board member of a national non-profit dedicated to aiding and educating those affected by Parkinson’s disease.

Thirteen years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This journey has been fraught with physical, emotional, and financial hurdles. Yet, my resolve remains unshaken. Through perseverance, I’ve become a staunch advocate for myself and others, drawing strength from the solidarity and empathy within the Parkinson’s community.

My aspiration to become a DNC delegate stems from a profound commitment to the prosperity of our state and nation. I am determined to ensure our party embodies the principles of justice, equality, and access to opportunities for everyone. My goal is to elevate the concerns of marginalized groups, including individuals with disabilities, communities of color, and those facing economic hardship. In collaboration, I aim to craft a platform that encapsulates our collective aspirations and objectives.

I have the necessary skills and perspective to make a meaningful impact as a delegate. I’m a good listener, clear communicator, and team player. I also possess resilience, adaptability, and a positive outlook. Each of life’s obstacles has been met with tenacity and a desire to assist others in their struggles.
