Sabrina Otness - 122

Sabrina Otness is a passionate public servant, volunteer advocate and Washington native. She graduated from Columbia University in 2022 with a Master of Public Administration in International Security Policy. Much of her research focused on the long term impacts violence and disparities in our communities have on people’s health and freedoms. From there, she moved back home from NYC to Washington State to begin her footing in the local government and nonprofit space. Sabrina is someone who cares about people, policy, impact, and making things better wherever we can.

While working remotely as a project analyst at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, Sabrina also volunteers with a Seattle-based think tank called No School Violence, which researches acts of violence taking place in public schools and identifies proactive ways to assist parents and schools in keeping kids safer against gun violence.

Sabrina supports her local community as a ballot box closer and processing assistant with the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, as a member of the 21st Legislative District Democrats, and as a member of Suicide Prevention Task Force within the Snohomish County Children’s Wellness Coalition. Outside of work and volunteering, Sabrina can be found hiking the local trails, taking dance/yoga classes up in Everett, or spending time with her parents, dog Hazel, and cat Rainier catching up on their favorite reality tv shows.

Sabrina is running to represent Washington State at the 2024 Democratic National Convention. 2024 is a critical year and I look forward to supporting our democracy.
