Hi there! My name is Ben Mast, I am a 7-year resident of the beautiful city of Seattle, and I would be honored to to act as a Washington State Democratic Delegate. I am a white, cis, gay man and work in the public school system as a school psychologist, aiding high school students with disabilities. I am a proud union member and identify myself as a leftist abolitionist. As a delegate, I would hope to reflect the young, progressive voices of the Democratic Party who are its future. Issues that are important to me include housing, healthcare, and education. I seek to push collectivist social policies that put working class and marginalized people first. We are a country flush with resources and possibility- we can’t let the 1% continue to hoard what we the workers have created! The 4-day workweek, guaranteed leave, universal healthcare, student debt relief; all of these things are possible if we use our collective hands and voices to make them happen.
